The Challenge of Harmony

- Mission Possible –
(an exhortation by Neil Haddon)

“Could your planet polarize towards harmony in one fine, strong, moment of inspiration?
Yes, my friends.
It is not probable; but it is ever possible.”

The Message
Those words were given to us more than twenty-seven years ago by an extra-terrestrial source many centuries advanced beyond our present. They presage a key event in the primordial cycle of Earth’s development portrayed by many as Armageddon, the ‘end times’ – or we can choose to see it as a ‘new age’, a new beginning.

Those who realise that we shape our own destiny will readily appreciate that the question refers to the spiritual growth and development of our planetary race as we approach this milestone.

What an uplifting aspiration the answer represents! What a challenge: to nudge the possibility into a probability – and beyond!

This source1, which announced itself as ‘Ra’, outlined a structure of philosophy basically that “all things, all life, all of the creation is part of one original thought.”

We are all One, all elements of a single Creator experiencing itself through a series of levels, or ‘densities’. The first level of experience is wind and fire, earth and water, the beginnings of ‘awareness’. Second density is one of growth – plants, trees, micro-organisms, animals. In Third, we develop into self-awareness, aware that we can make choices, we have self determination (the faculty of ‘will’), and those choices determine our future path: in this sense we are co-creators.

Fourth is a density of Love, Fifth adds the light of wisdom. Sixth brings us together in unity, whilst the Seventh is a gateway density in which one appreciates the “sacramental nature of all things” 2 before rejoining the Creator at the top of the octave.

Fundamental to this structure is the fact that that all ‘things’, every ‘thing’ – being part of that original, Creative thought - is a sentient ‘being’.

This third density we find ourselves in has a shorter time span than the other levels in order that a more intense experience will facilitate the choice-making process. A full third density cycle consists of just three, 25,000 year cycles. At the end of each is a time for assessment of readiness to progress to the next level. Those not ready simply repeat all, or part of the third density experience. After a full cycle, 75,000 years, the planet is usually no longer viable for third density life.

We are approaching the end of a 75,000 year major cycle.

Sadly, viewing the degree of development of Earth’s population in the mid-1980’s, it seemed “that many will repeat the third-density cycle”. It appears that the aura of our collective consciousness was scattered throughout the spectrum, such that “there are few to harvest.” 3

However, Ra offered hope as shown by the comment with which we opened this essay:
“Could your planet polarize towards harmony in one fine, strong, moment of inspiration?
Yes, my friends. It is not probable; but it is ever possible.” 4

The primary principle of the Universe – Ra terms it the ‘first distortion’ - is that of free will, and Ra is definitely respecting this principle in that statement: our future, our progress, our development is entirely up to us. Our thoughts, deeds, actions, core beliefs  - all stem from our choices, and then accumulate to the consciousness field which emanates from each one of us. We all dwell within, and are influenced by this consciousness field. Collectively therefore, our individual choices determine our group future.

“Good Morning, Mr. Phelps…”5
Our task, should we choose to accept it, is to rise to the challenge implicit in Ra’s words, polarise towards harmony and confound the probability.

Should we accept the task? Should we even bother about it? Should we indeed take any notice of this story? Is it no more than weird, ‘New Age’ fantasy? Or is it another ‘end is nigh’ ‘doom and gloom’ scenario, the sort which always arises when we face a difficult time?

After all, even if we believe in ‘aliens’, ‘E.T.s’, ‘channelled messages’, the worst that can happen is that we simply ‘go round again’ on another earth elsewhere in the galaxy. Of course, it is ‘O.K.’ to make this choice, and to those that do, we send our love, and wish you well on your journey. For those who choose to read on, this essay will explore what is needed to face the challenge.

The case for Ra
It is of little value to you to know that I personally believe the Ra material to be one hundred per cent genuine; it will not help you that many thousands of other being humans across the globe also believe in the integrity and sincerity of this source. Neither should it. Your opinion must come from within you, for it to be valid.

In fact, it does not really matter whether you believe in the credibility of the Law of One material – or any other channelled material – or not. There is no way that I nor anyone else can provide verifiable proof of the sort considered necessary in traditional scientific circles.

What does matter is that you realise that we are all connected – to each other, and to everything around us, not only on this Earth but in the solar system, the galaxy, and the cosmos. The ‘original sin’ basis of so many control systems which have been imprinted on our psyche for millennia, the notion that somehow, at birth or even pre-birth, we committed some crime for which our time on Earth is just punishment, and we should spend that time attempting to reach an accommodation with some ferocious ‘Almighty’ whereby he may be prepared to overlook our misdemeanour and let us back into the fold – is patent nonsense.

The very word – ‘atonement’ is ironic; our purpose is not to strive to return to ‘at-one- ment’ with our source: the very idea that we are separate is an illusion of our own making. We need to remember that we are already at one; always have been; always will be. The aim is not to seek forgiveness from some outside source, rather to ‘give’ something – such as healing, or Love - ‘for’ ourselves. We are an integral part of the Source, we can never be separate. We are here to grow and develop from our experience – both ‘good’ and ‘bad’ - for there are no mistakes, only experience.

The life spark of the Creator dwells within each one of us, and it is imperative that you cherish that realisation: you are not separate from the Creator at all.

For the duration of this essay, all I ask in addition, is an open mind, a willingness to suspend pre-judgement. In the Foreword to his oft forgotten work, The Yoga of the Christ, Murdo McDonald-Bayne6 makes the point that most people listen “casually” -  they only hear what they want to hear. The ego comes into play, and hearing becomes an exercise in self- justification and congratulation of how ‘right’ one’s opinions were in the first place. Most people admit only those things which are immediately pleasing, which massage their existing conditioning, and  dismiss without consideration any concept which is penetrating, threatening to the ‘status quo’ of their blinkered belief structure, anything which may demand disturbance of their mental sleep state and call for some effort from their little grey cells.

Patently, if we only listen to those ideas which gratify our monkey minds, this is a false understanding, a delusion.

“It is an art to listen to everything, without prejudice, without building up defences to protect our ignorance, our confirmed beliefs, our original knowledge, our particular idiosyncrasies and our own points of view, and listen (without limitation ed.) to find out the truth of the matter.”7

I urge you therefore, to be patient, consider the whole, and thereafter by all means take from this article only what sits well with you, customise if you will, and discard the rest.

Fact or Fantasy?
What may begin to impress you is that throughout the 106 sessions of channelling which delivered the Ra material over a three year period, there is total consistency. Moreover, unlike so many other channelled works, the Ra material has not benefitted the channeller in any significant way; on the contrary, her health and well-being was put at serious risk on several occasions.  The message has always been the thing, not the glory or financial gain of the channeller.

Indeed the material itself is available either in hard copy at a very reasonable price from L/L Research8, or can even be found free on the internet. A comprehensive ‘study guide’ is also freely available at DivineCosmos.com

There is then the fact that often, the language and scientific principles conveyed by the source, Ra, were completely beyond the experience or knowledge of the channelling ‘instrument’ at the time: how then, could she have  communicated such matters which at that time were ‘unknown’ to her?

Actually, several of the concepts Ra discusses relating to life both on Earth and in the cosmos have only recently been validated by the latest scientific discoveries.9

You may then wish to consider other extraneous facts which colour the background to this message.

Most notably, Ra explained (in 1981) that the end of the 75,000 year major cycle is due in “…approximately thirty of your years.” (1981 + 30 = 2011/2). At that time, “all are harvested, regardless of their progress” for the planet itself will have moved to an area of higher vibration.

Our solar system orbits the centre of the galaxy about every 240 years or so. If we could observe its passage through space, it would resemble the classic picture of a comet, surrounded by an egg shaped magnetic field, with the thin end of the tail trailing behind. This is called the heliosphere. Travelling at about 550,000miles per hour the heliosphere pushes through the sea of energy that fills ‘empty space’ creating a sort of bow wave effect, and Russian scientists from the National Academy of Sciences have identified a build-up of glowing energetic plasma there. This build-up used to be about 10 astronomical units deep (an AU is the distance of Earth from the Sun - 93 million miles). Within perhaps the last thirty years, the build-up has increased to 100 AU – a ten fold increase!10

Some of this ‘more dense’ plasma is absorbed within the heliosphere, exciting and energising the Sun and in turn its entourage of planets and moons.

Richard C Hoagland and David Wilcock have shown11 that our solar system as a whole is indeed moving to a more highly energised area of the galaxy, resulting in every single planet, and many of the moons, exhibiting ‘climate change’ in one form or another. Their conclusions are based on mainstream scientific data from NASA and the like, gleaned from over one hundred references.

Here are some highlights:
The chemical composition of Venus’ atmosphere has changed dramatically in a ridiculously short time – five years! – with possible indications of oxygen. At the same time its brightness has increased some 25 times!
In 2001, even the mainstream media was proclaiming ‘global warming’ on Mars as snow cover at the south pole dramatically reduced.
Apart from significant changes on Jupiter itself, the activity observed on Io, the closest moon, has been spectacular, including development of huge bright ‘surface’ features, ionosphere altitude changes, 200% temperature increases - apparently from within -  and sudden appearance of a new volcano spurting gas 300 miles into space.
Saturn too has energetic changes, and its largest moon, Titan, has doubled the size of its dense atmosphere in just over twenty years.

Coming back down to Earth, most people are aware of the more obvious changes taking place here. The media has had a field day, with the ‘global warming’ story set to run and run. Big business and several individuals have seen a profit and publicity opportunity in ‘climate change’. Governments have taken advantage of new taxation available from ‘polluting SUVs’ and ‘carbon emissions’.

These are the popular headlines, for in truth, CO2 emissions from inefficient motor vehicles are hardly likely to be the cause of the Pacific Ocean heating up – from the bottom! Whilst social and industrial pollution should not be ignored, the more significant energetic activity requires far more powerful drivers than a few ‘Chelsea tractors’.

Over the last century, earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes, hurricanes, drought, floods, lahars, devastating forest fires, have increased dramatically in both frequency and severity, each one the manifestation of excited activity within the environment of Earth itself.

There seems to be therefore some substance to the suggestion that we are, as a planet, and as a planetary system, moving into an area of higher energetic vibration.

Genetic implications.
We have seen how this journey is affecting the world and the solar system around us. What effect is this likely to have on the biological systems underlying the plant, animal, human life which exists within this environment? It is well known that electricity drives cellular activity, so is it not reasonable to assume that a higher rate of vibration in the surrounding environment must have some consequential effect on the living entities within it?

And indeed this is so, in more startling ways than we could have begun to imagine even a few short years ago.

Studies of the fossil record by Dave Raup and Jack Sepkoski12 found that at discrete levels of the sedimentary rocks, fossil remains of certain groups of creatures suddenly ceased, and evidence of completely new species would appear in the next layer. This extinction and evolution event seemed to occur in a 26 million year cycle. Robert Rohde and Richard Muller13 refined the research still further, and concluded that a longer cycle of 62/65 million years seemed even more evident.

In our ignorance we have no scientific explanation for these events, only speculation. It is common belief that some 65 million years ago, something happened – perhaps the impact of an asteroid or comet which destroyed the dinosaurs (at least the big ones, why not the smaller ones?). But what put the object onto its collision course with Earth?
Plausible theories of a ‘dark sun’ or Planet X disturbing the Oort cloud to eject comets in our direction have been put forward by eminent scientists. Other theories suggest the passage of the solar system through arms of our Milky Way spiral galaxy. Whatever the explanation, it seems we can tie macro events in the solar system into the fossil record research.

Could it be that Earth and her neighbours have passed through different energetic layers of the galaxy previously, and these frequency changes have affected the living bodies of the time?

DNA is a wave.
Recent research gives credibility to this rationale. Over the past few years there has been considerable research into the properties of DNA, beyond its role in human medicine and health. We do not have the space here to go into detail, but the work of scientists like Peter Gariaev, and Vladimir Poponin14, lead us to conclude that DNA behaves like a wave in the aether, and as such is responsive to frequency changes just like radio and light waves. Gariaev and his team have already shown how DNA responds to sound in healing and repairing living tissue.15

Coming right up to date, recent experiments by Gariaev’s team directed non-burning laser light through the eggs of a salamander, and into the eggs of a frog. The frog eggs developed and subsequently reproduced as full grown salamanders.

Chinese scientist Yu. V. Dzang Kangeng used similar technology to produce a duck-hen hybrid by transforming the DNA pattern of the egg.16

Obviously this is cutting edge science, and further research will no doubt reveal more of these wonders, but it seems sound to assume that these are illustrations of how in fact evolution works. DNA – the code of physical life – responds to the vibrational environment around it. So, evolution is not some random event, a result of survival of the fittest; rather it is a response to a burst of energy directed at formative cells which transforms the DNA within them.

Each one of us lives and breathes and has our daily being in the energetic fields which bathe the biosphere. Surely changes in these energies will affect human DNA too. Western science cannot find any purpose in 90% of human DNA:it is even termed ‘junk’ DNA. Redundancy is rarely – if ever- observed in Nature: what if this 90% is merely ‘latent’, awaiting activation? Who knows what powers and abilities beyond our imagination are ours in potential, waiting to be entrusted to us as we demonstrate our readiness to handle them?

Our new powers will not manifest overnight - we would misuse them if they did. The examples given above are dramatic illustrations of a principle, yet Mother Nature operates over a long-term time-scale, working in a steady, relentless way which is barely discernible to us in our day-to-day observations. It is like our children growing up: we see them every day yet only after months do we notice significant changes have taken place.

A little research on the Internet reveals a mass of information about so-called Indigo and Crystal children. Some of this may seem fanciful, but you can also find serious articles about studies conducted by doctors and scientists who confirm that these children have amazing powers and abilities. They tend to be remarkably intelligent beyond their years; ultra-sensitive especially toward the well-being of all living things; they uphold the ‘one-ness of all things. In addition many are telepathic, and they seem to exhibit a group-consciousness whereby they communicate with each other over vast distances.

Dynamic change.
Other significant changes are taking place with increasing rapidity across many fields. To those who are new to this sort of material, I cannot recommend too highly the contribution of Jan Wicherink. His amazing work, ‘Souls of Distortion Awakening’17, takes us on a roller coaster ride of scientific discoveries at breath-taking speed all pointing to the conclusion that science and spirituality are intricately linked. Every single aspect of the universe is comprised of, and a function of, a conscious energy which creates matter and permeates the space within and between its manifestations.

As Jan says, “The Cartesian materialistic worldview, the blind belief that there is only a material cause for everything in the universe is the inheritance of science and has dominated our Western beliefs about our reality for hundreds of years.” However, “in a small but growing scientific community science has entered the domain of spirituality! The bridge between science and spirituality has already been crossed!” And we can      “… no longer rule out the possibility that human consciousness has a real effect on physical reality.”

‘Souls of Distortion’ presents a fascinating overview across a panorama of discovery, and those who wish to delve further can spend many, many hours digesting the wonders revealed in the on-going work of David Wilcock18.

To those of us educated on a curriculum of classic scientific theory, many of these revelations may seem unbelievable and the traditional scientific fraternity still prefer to bury their heads. Yet it is important that the reader understand the revolutionary discoveries catalogued by both Wicherink and Wilcock are fully referenced. These are genuine scientific breakthroughs by respected scientists from august academic institutions.

What this new knowledge shows us is that Creation is not a done deal steadily decaying back to dust as the law of entropy demands. The Universe is far more vibrant and alive than high school science has been teaching us for centuries. It also reveals the link between the environment we inhabit and our consciousness. Given that we are capable of original, creative thought, that link gives us the power to influence the biosphere in which we have our being: we are co-creators of the on-going growth of our Universe.

As science and spirituality start to recombine, we gain the confidence to dare to believe that we are capable of influencing the nature of our environment. If we can work together as a team, pooling our considerable and diverse powers, we can determine the collective consciousness of our planet.

Ra remarks elsewhere19 that individually it is highly unlikely that we will move mountains, but by our combined, collective will, we could achieve far more than that.

The great teacher known as Jehoshua said, ‘…works that I do shall you do also; and greater works than these shall you do’.20

Possibilities
Across past centuries, most of the major religions and ethnic traditions have predicted the coming of a wonderful new age.

Indian tradition suggests we are in the Krita Yuga (age of transition) between the Kali Yuga (the age of darkness and ignorance) and the Satya Yuga (the age of truth) when all becomes transparent, and deceit and falseness falls away. In the Christian tradition, the Book of Revelations refers to a thousand years of ‘holiness’, a period of happiness and human perfection.

The Holy Qur’an and the Hadith speak of the ‘Qiyaamah time’, a future time of cleansing and resurrection; for Buddhists the ‘Wheel of Dharma’ is set to turn for the first time in 2500 years since Lord Buddha’s time, heralding a new beginning, a rebirth.

An 11th Century work, the Book of Prophecies of the Knight John of Jerusalem tells us the new millennium will change into a ‘light time’ when dreams will come true: people will love and share and be more spiritual. This mirrors the idea of the dawning of the Age of Aquarius from Western astrological tradition - an age of greater spirituality, perfection, joy.

Earlier we noted that Ra dated the end of the 75,000 year major cycle as in 2011/2, which happens to coincide with the year the Maya chose to end their amazingly reliable Long Count Calendar, signifying the end of one time and the beginning of a new one.

To use a sporting image therefore, we have everything to play for. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to have played our part in bringing about this exciting new world? Can you visualise a life where all is truth and peace and harmony, openness and trust are assured; where all is transparent, telepathy is a natural ability, as is levitation, teleportation, remote viewing, and more?

Our attitudes and abilities must adapt for us to enjoy the prophecies of the golden age which is dawning.

The transformation of the Earth is already well advanced, and even though ‘it is being brought with some inconvenience’21 it is not too late for us to awaken and ensure our inclusion in this evolution.

We are divine. We are co-creators. We can shape the future. We can, as Ra said, polarise this planet towards harmony in one fine strong moment of inspiration.

Probabilities
There is no doubt that it will require a paradigm shift in our predominant mental attitude as a species. Yet the situation is more positive than we may think. There is evidence that more and more people across the globe are feeling dissatisfied, are looking for change. The numbers of people subscribing to, and taking an active part in internet forums expressing the desire for a better world, an end to the secret, invidious manipulation of the past centuries is growing daily.

This underlying seeking has prompted and inspired more and more investigators to prise open the hidden machinations of secret societies, expose hidden agendas, reveal the selfishness, greed, and callous arrogance which have infected certain sectors of society for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Greater transparency in national and local governance, corporate policy, education curriculum is being demanded. The restriction and control inherent in the dogma of established religions is becoming apparent and supporters are turning away in droves.

It is no longer the occasional maverick sheep misbehaving in the flock, the number of rebels is growing such that the sheep dogs’ authority is being over-run. Hitherto, the individual ‘odd-ball’ who would not conform was rounded upon by his fellows – the sheep-dog-sheep - and told not to ‘rock the boat’ for fear that the whole group would suffer. The futility of this fear is being realised, the deeply buried wish for a fairer, more equitable structure of society is bubbling to the surface.

As bad as it gets
Recent weeks have seen the greed and self-seeking of banks and other financial institutions exposed; the expectation that the man-in-the-street, the tax-payer, the ordinary citizen will bail them out so they can preserve their superior life-style is triggering riots and resistance. The motivation of political ‘leaders’ is being questioned, for what other explanation can explain their crass ineptitude and blatant greed?

On the commercial front, the excuses of the energy companies defy credibility. At a time of world-wide glut of oil, greedy profiteers are holding us to ransom. It is becoming increasingly obvious – even to the half-asleep - that the pharmaceutical cartel is peddling disease, not cure. The vacuous propaganda paraded by the media and entertainment industries is becoming so obvious that more and more people are turning to alternative information sources to seek the ‘truth’.

The pendulum has swung so far that the cracks beneath the wall paper can no longer be concealed. The revealing is having additional, perhaps unexpected, beneficial spin-off. Even the horrific wars in Iraq and Afghanistan can be seen in a positive light: they have highlighted conflict elsewhere, and although they have ‘inspired’ a few extremists, I submit they have stirred many times more people to long for harmony.

People are suspecting, with good cause, that casualty figures are massaged: only deaths in action are reported, the numbers of wounded, and those who die as a result of their injuries are hidden. Daily media headlines of soldiers killed either in action or as terrorist targets are causing serious limitations on recruitment.   Troops returning from duty are disturbed, mentally damaged, and find it extremely difficult to re-integrate into ‘normal’ society.

Alongside, we have governments – openly in the U.S. and Canada, but covertly I am sure in other western nations – preparing troops to combat civil disturbance at home as millions are thrown into poverty. The hope is that brainwashed soldiers will obey the command, but surely orders to kill one’s family of fellow citizens who simply want food and shelter in difficult times, will incite mutiny and desertion.

When will we learn that fighting and killing achieves nothing? We have followed these caveman instincts for thousands of years: is the world a better place for it? And who benefits from these wars and conquests? Once more, light is beginning to penetrate the dark corners and reveal a handful of individuals behind the curtain pulling the strings of the ‘masses’ – on both sides! Whoever coined the phrase ‘cannon fodder’ did not realise how apt the description.

I pray the day will soon come when, told to go and fight, the soldiers have the real courage to simply down weapons en masse, and say, “No!”

If pointless, endless wars, economic catastrophe, civil unrest are not enough, we now have pandemic. Sensationalist media gleefully present a nightmare scenario, and we can choose to believe this is as bad as it gets.

However, if we are made of sterner stuff, and reject the manipulation of the dark side into fear – and all it takes is a mental decision – we perceive that all these events are part of a plan whose object is that the bonds of previous centuries shall pass away. The glass is already half full.

Turning of the tide
Education and the Internet have transformed the world. Like genies released from a bottle their effect is now unstoppable. Politicians and captains of industry have championed ‘globalisation’, but the side effect of this leap in communication and understanding has revealed the Achilles heel of those who would manipulate us all.

Communication now knows no boundaries. Ideas, information, perspectives are exchanged across the globe without constraint of creed, culture, status: plumbers dispute with professors, clerks with captains of industry. The cat may no longer just ‘look at a king’, she can lay her point of view directly before him.

An avenue is now available for the full spread of human emotions, experience, ideas, and opinions to be expressed and accessible to all. The control of information ‘fit for public consumption’ by those who would dominate us is becoming impossible.

Significant developments on many fronts are happening now at a breath-taking pace, and this trend is part of a much larger cycle. A study by Sergei Smelyakov, Geoff Stray, and Jan Wicherink22 has charted the occurrence of major events in ancient and modern history, and found a correlation with ‘The Golden Mean’.

The Golden Mean is the ‘magical’ relationship seen throughout Nature in the proportions of the human body, growth of cauliflower florets, formation of sea shells etc. In a simple form it is represented by the Fibonacci sequence, where each new number is the sum of the previous two numbers – 1,1,2,3,5,8,13, and so on. More strictly it is represented mathematically by the series named ‘phi’, and if charted geometrically creates the spiral shape of the sea shell with which we are all familiar.

This spiral sequence is infinite in both directions, and the ‘Auric Time Scale’ charted by Smelyakov et al clearly shows how major influences on our spiritual, social, and material progress are occurring at increasingly shorter time segments as the spiral gets tighter and tighter. A simple illustration is to consider how many thousands of years passed before our caveman ancestors developed fire, tools, the wheel. Then look at the centuries which passed between the Middle Ages and the Industrial Revolution. Then turn back to the twentieth century just past and be amazed at the speed and wealth of developments which could never have been contemplated when the century dawned.

In 1949 the magazine Popular Mechanics predicted that “computers in the future may have only 1,000 tubes (valves) and perhaps weigh only one and a half tons.” Now, operating systems no bigger than a cell phone are capable of amazing functions. Moreover, they are out of date in a few years – Microsoft no longer supports its software of even a decade ago: they’re technically ‘obsolete’.

98% of everything scientists know about the brain has only been discovered since 1996 thanks to development of computer-enhanced scanning and imagery techniques: 80% of what they thought was true about the brain before then, has now been found to be inaccurate.

The spiral of the ‘Auric Time Scale’ is getting tighter and the bifurcation points – or dates predicting significant world events – occur with increasing rapidity until a ‘singularity’ towards the end of 2012.

Finding our way
It is becoming obvious that for all the leaps in technology and the spread of knowledge, we still in fact know little of how the environment in which we live actually works. It seems the more we know the more we know we don’t know. Beneath the life we experience with our five senses, lies a deeply mysterious and wonderfully constructed fabric which is the true reality.

It seems that several centuries ago, rather like Bugs Bunny, we should have “took a left at Albuquerque”: fascinated by the revelations of ‘science’, we forgot that there were other, more subtle paths to follow. These paths depend for their understanding, not on the cold logic of our monkey-minds, but on our sensitivity to our innate inspiration. We have much catching-up to do. What is called for here is a sensitivity to everything that is going on around us.

When talking of religion, we might call it ‘faith’, for "…faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen."23 The more enlightened scientists of today, who now acknowledge the existence of a background sea of energy that exists throughout the Universe (called ‘zero point energy’, formerly ‘the aether’) may see it as vibrations in the aether. In Star Wars ObiWan could sense a ‘disturbance in the Force’.  Russian expert  Dr Nikolai Kozyrev24 would speak of interactions of the torsion fields.

David Wilcock speaks of a field of consciousness25, and suggests that this field is intelligent. It is said that Edgar Cayce, the most documented – and surely the most accurate - psychic on record, could ‘view the Akashik records’. This is a fabled store of knowledge existing on a higher plane, which records every event and thought which ever occurred. Essentially, Wilcock suggests this field is accessible by us all, in real time. As such, it follows that our thoughts are not necessarily all our own: we could be sensitive to the ideas passing through a neighbour’s mind.

The attraction to this notion lies in the fact that if we do have access to such a field, it would certainly provide a very plausible explanation for telepathy, psychic ability, remote viewing, and other so-called ‘paranormal’ abilities.

Our ancestors may have lacked the technology and scientific research of the last four or five centuries, but given the depth and proven reliability of esoteric knowledge passed down to us, they certainly seem to have had access to this ‘hidden world’. Today, the shamans of indigenous tribes still have it, genuine psychics use it. And indeed, if we think about it, we all have a degree of this power to relate to the ‘hidden world’ too: we call it a ‘sixth sense’.

How often do you sense that someone is watching you, and turn round and catch their eye? Have you not thought of someone you haven’t contacted in a long time, and suddenly, that day enjoyed a ‘phone call or chance meeting with them? Have you had a thought immediately prior to someone close actually voicing that exact idea? Do you experience frequent common thoughts and ideas, perhaps with family and loved ones?

More and more reports on relevant internet forums attest to these phenomena, and other synchronicities too. Noticing meaningful numbers on a clock or some other counter at the very moment of a significant, unrelated event.  Pre-cognition. Unexplainable yet beneficial ‘co-incidences’. It may be that these occurrences are becoming more frequent, although I would suggest they have always happened, we are just noticing them more.

Think back within your own experience: have such co-incidences occurred in your past? And did you merely dismiss them as quirks of nature, a fluke, some random curiosity? It is in fact becoming clear that the more attention we pay to these synchronicities, the more they occur. Why should this be? What possible explanation could there be for such unscientific incidents?

Latent abilities.
Open your mind for a moment to the possibility that all ‘life’ is connected to this field of consciousness, because this consciousness is a basic pre-requisite of life.

As long ago as 1967, Gary Zukav published a book entitled, “The Dancing Wu Li Masters” which has become a seminal introduction to quantum physics. One of the most significant revelations in this work is the fact that when conducting experiments at micro level, the outcome is often influenced by the observer. This has also been suggested regarding experiments to demonstrate nuclear fusion: if the assembled scientists were optimistic, believing in the principle, the experiment ‘worked’; before pessimistic, disbelieving observers, fusion stubbornly refused to occur.

Photographic illustration of this phenomenon is available in the amazing work of Dr Masaru Emoto26, who has demonstrated how the structure of ice crystals can change when water is subjected to the emotional influence of the observers.

The notion that all ‘things’, every ‘thing’ – being part of the original, Creative thought - is a sentient ‘being’, including each one of us, shows us the link, and provides a simple explanation for this phenomenon does it not?

Coming back to our study of synchronicities, surely it follows that we ourselves are influencing the occurrence: our own consciousness is in fact projecting our thoughts into the consciousness field, and attracting the result? If we admit this possibility, the exciting conclusion is that we have access to an amazing power we can cultivate and develop.

(Of course we must be mindful that the law of karma applies. The Universal principle of cause and effect is inexorable: be mindful of what you wish for.)

For too long, unless the effect could be duplicated in mechanical fashion in aseptic laboratories across the globe, the authoritative scientific community disparage such phenomena as ‘mumbo-jumbo’, fanciful mis-interpretation of trickery by some self-seeking ‘New Age’ quack. For all their education, the talking heads wheeled out to propound the traditional sterile ‘explanation’, never fail to display their narrow limitations. These mental pygmies are granted far too much credibility by the media, who at the very best, report such events in a derisive- and usually, biased -  tone.

A prime example is the treatment of Crop Circles. The very few times a crop circle report appears in the mainstream media, out pops Dick and Dave once more with their boards and string as they stagger home from the pub. No column inches are given to the intricate designs, and the speed in which they appear; the depth of meaning of the image and the accuracy of its portrayal in a medium hardly conducive to intricate sculpture; the technology required to lay the crop in such a fashion without serious damage to the still living stems.

And the same is true for any occurrence which might require belief that there are forces and powers beyond those which science has captured under the microscope, or in the classroom. It would not do, would it, for the masses – the flock or the herd – to realise they were capable of influencing the world around them? That they had self-determination? That they had the power to effect change? Good gracious, centuries have been spent seeking to educate them out of such reactionary ideas!

This repressive agenda has sought to drag us back to Ra’s ‘second density’ in order to preserve the imagined superiority of a select few.

However, thankfully the indications are that consciously and unconsciously, more and more people are coming into their own realisation of their power, and the desire for a better quality of human interaction is bubbling to the surface. As we actively pursue this goal, we shall soon reach a critical mass where the momentum of our seeking generates an irresistible demand.

A new beginning.
We have established that  there is a hitherto unknown – or more accurately ‘ignored’ – world going on below the radar of our five physical senses, and have begun to at least consider the possibilities that we are able to influence this subtle world by our attention. Once we are aware of this secret realm, we are led forward like Alice into an exciting wonderland. As the more recent work, ‘What the Bleep?’ asks us: “How far down the rabbit hole do we want to go?”27

The beauty of this adventure is that every part of it is under our own private control: for this knowing – this ‘Truth’ - is entirely personal.  We determine how fast and how far, and where, and when, and how often we go on this journey of discovery. We can pause when we wish, we can stop to examine or digest how far we’ve come, we can take a little detour to explore this side path or that; we can rush on, eager to learn what’s around the next corner, or we can rest a while, and continue later. We can even split our minds and be continuing the journey quietly within, whilst seemingly busy doing something else.

We can enjoy our travels anywhere and everywhere –sitting quietly alone in meditation, or on a busy train commuting to work; in our private thoughts before waking or sleeping, or in open discussion with like-minded loved ones and friends. We can research and consider other people’s findings and adopt, or modify, or discard them at will. The whole experience is up to us, and moreover, it grows and develops and gets more intriguing the further we go: there is no end.

As we become aware that what happens in the world without is a result of the person we are within, true reality becomes available to us. We can start to deal with causes instead of effects; instead of dressing and re-addressing symptoms, we can focus attention and energy to bring about a lasting cure. We can start to appreciate that we are not subject to the whim of some capricious set of circumstances; we are not the hapless playthings of some whimsical gods. We are powerful and accomplished creators of our own destiny. We are only victims if we choose to be.

We start to take control of our life, our growth, our progress. Yes, there are still challenges to face and mountains to climb, but we are more confident when we can rationalise what is happening and why it is happening - for us rather than to us.

For far too long we have been tricked into relying on governments for secular matters, and the ‘church’ for our ‘spiritual’ growth, and then complain bitterly at the control and limitation they impose upon us: in fact, we have surrended ourselves to them. They have no influence over us that we do not allow.

People want to be safe. However, as Les Visible wrote:”Safety without the awareness of what real security consists of is only a temporary fix. It doesn’t matter how big your walls are, how many guards and guns you have. You may command armies but disease, old age and death will find a way in.”28

The reality is: the whole purpose of our lives is to take responsibility for ourselves. A certain amount of courage is required to abandon the comfort zone excuse of being able to lay responsibility at ‘someone else’s’ door, but with this awakening comes a freedom, and a peace of mind, a sense of self-esteem and a quiet satisfaction with ourselves. We become comfortable , and confident, in our own skin.

Our ego tells us we are separate, and must compete to find material comfort for the body from ‘out there’. Thus we are never satisfied, because we are chasing shadows. For in truth we are already ‘One’ with everything. The adjustment we crave is within our own power. Peace of mind and fulfilment come from within.

We must realise that we can be what we will to be; we can be what we choose to be: we should be grateful that we shall be what we will to be.

There is no doubt that the most important, first step, is to be comfortable with who you are. “Learning to love yourself…” is indeed “… the most important Love of all.” 29

As we get used to the idea that in fact we are in control, we see the world around us from an entirely new perspective. Like the sun rising on a clear Summer’s dawn, we see the world in much greater detail, expanding before us in a vision of high definition and vibrant energy, merging into a kaleidoscope of riotous colour. “Saint Francis could see beauty where others couldn’t,” is a quote from The Celestine Prophecy30: we too can enter that state of grace.

Mind over matter
This awakening opens the door into a new world. If we open ourselves to the possibilities we have discussed above, the world, our lives, our total existence literally ‘becomes our oyster’. Subconsciously we have been opening this treasure trove for centuries without even realising it.

Dean Radin and a team from Princeton University have been conducting an experiment31 for years to observe the correlation – if any- between human emotions and random numbers generated by a computer. They found that as the Earth rolled around into the New Year of the millennium the numbers received by the geographically placed recorders became more ordered. The news of the death of Princess Diana had a similar effect, and at the time of 911, the skewing of the results lasted for several days.

A new area of knowledge – hitherto the stuff of fiction and fantasy – is becoming proven by scientific methods. It is becoming obvious that we have powers of awareness beyond our five physical senses. At the dawn of the 20th century, Charles Haanel32 wrote: “The fetters of tradition are being melted off from humanity, and as the impurities of materialism are being consumed, thought is being liberated and truth is rising full-orbed before an astonished multitude. The whole world is on the eve of a new consciousness, a new power, and a new realization within the self.” We are entering a level beyond even his imagination.

Ra told us that our thoughts were already becoming ‘things’ 33.  Gregg Braden in his audio series, “Speaking the Lost Language of God”, tells us of experiments by Poponin and Gariaev, by the Heart Math Institute of California, and by the US Army which show how our emotions influence DNA regardless of time and distance. Cleve Backster 34 demonstrated how plants and organisms sense and react to our thoughts. We may laugh at gardeners talking to their plants, but it appears the joke is on us.

In the early 17th century, Descartes proclaimed that the spiritual realm and the secular world were quite distinct and separate: we now recognise that the Universe is not a dead and finished thing to be dissected in a sterile laboratory, but a living, dynamic evolution occurring all around us on levels we do not (yet) fully understand. The real purpose of life on this planet, and the real nature of our existence is becoming clear to us. “The universe begins to look more like a great thought than a great machine.”35

Every thing, every being, every situation, every emotion is a function of pulsating, vibrant energy, and we can influence this energy field. Where our attention goes, our energy flows, empowering every single one of us as active players in the on-going creation of the Universe.

“I Am”
I don’t need to convince you that you have a body. We are all proud of the fact that we have ‘our own’ mind. Your body acts, your mind thinks – yet what tells your mind what it shall think? Some other part of you is in control. Some other part of you makes judgement – yes your mind will analyse and weigh possibilities, but this other part makes the choice. Some other part of you can originate thought, be creative, be inspired. This part is Spirit.

We all intuitively recognise that this is the core of our being, and this has nothing to do with organised religions, nor with ancient practices and rituals. And this ‘spirit’ is One. All the sages, all the wise men, all the philosophers down the ages take the same view: Spirit is perfect and indivisible.

Another very well respected channelled work, “A Course in Miracles” covers some 670 pages to expand upon the opening two sentences: “Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists.”36 Those words encapsulate the supreme power of the spirit. They clearly tell us we should have no fear whatsoever, because we are a part, an integral part, of Universal Spirit.

This is our true relation to the Source, and once we connect to the Source, we see that the vibrant, pulsating energy we referred to, is abundant; the supply is unending; the Universe lavishly supplies all we need and more. Hitherto we have felt separated from our root, have believed we must grab as much as we can before someone else takes our share. We have accused others of hoarding, and we have fought to tear control away from them so we can be top dog: deprived, they fight back. This has been – and sadly to so many still is – the source of all war, of all human conflict.

How much precious energy will we collectively continue to waste on this delusion?

There is evidence of a physical dimension to our connection to the Source. At the very centre of our brain is a tiny, pea sized organ with powers way beyond its physical size. It is the pineal gland. Mechanically, this light-sensitive gland controls the release of melatonin, which controls our biorhythms, especially the sleep/wake function. It may be responsible for the depressed feeling many experience during long periods of overcast skies, and short days.

Its true function has been contemplated for centuries by spiritual adepts, and mystical traditions speak of the pineal as the link between the physical and the spiritual worlds. It is connected to, and has many similarities with the eyes in that it has similar cells and  a direct connection to the brain. It has long been regarded by many philosophers as an organ of higher vision which can see beyond the physical realm.

Dissection reveals that the front of the pineal gland matches the structure of the retina: the very same rods and cones found within the eyes can also be found within the composition of the pineal gland. It is a simple, logical step to understand that this similar type of physiology allows us to visualize or imagine scenarios, fantasies, memories, dreams or any other visual constructs. The expression, "in the mind's eye," starts to make sense.

The pineal responds to light and this enables it to control the secretion of two extremely vital hormones. These are melatonin and serotonin. Serotonin is the chemical that, among other functions helps us maintain a happy, balanced mental state. Melatonin induces sleep, which is when we dream or, as many believe, see beyond the veil of physical consciousness.

Dr Rick Strassman37 suggests the pineal also is responsible for the manufacture of DMT, a substance which can provide psychedelic experiences ranging from ‘hallucinatory’ to ‘positive mystical’. Under the pineal’s sensitive control, is it the release of this natural psychedelic ‘drug’ which creates the dream experience?

To return to the earlier analogy of the brain as a ‘receiver’, it appears DMT fine-tunes the brain to allow the consciousness to see higher realms.  Is then the ‘third eye’ our physical connection to the divine?

Mankind has bumbled about like a sleepwalker in the sort of psychedelic dream where random fragments of events are jumbled together, confusing ownership as power, material possessions as wealth, might as right, physical prowess as the symbol of success. Deep down though, our inner consciousness has longed to quell our unrequited fulfilment, and the clash of this reality with our delusion, is the root cause of our unhappiness.

The Prodigal Son
Yet the answer is so..oo simple. Instead of continuing to strive and struggle and drive our selves harder in search of a solution ‘out there’, all we need to do is stop, be still, clear the cacophony from our minds, and listen to the small voice within our inner self.

Our physical body was built to tune in to this voice. The human nervous system is precisely tuned to the electromagnetic field in which we exist. Lightning strikes set up a charge between the positive ionosphere surrounding the Earth and the ground; the resultant wave is moving at 7.8 cycles per second.

We now know that the human brain emits the alpha brainwave when we enter a state of deep relaxation, and this pulsates at exactly the same frequency, 7.8 cycles per second. This is why meditation is so beneficial, because it is only when we are relaxed and still that we enter the alpha state bringing us into neurological harmony with the Earth’s resonant field. In the alpha state we are in an area of knowing just below our everyday conscious awareness. It is like fine tuning our personal radio receiver to cut through the static, so we can clearly hear the message of our inner voice.

This voice can always be trusted, will never let us down, seeks only what is best for us. It comes from the Guardian of our soul, its motivation is Love, it has stood patiently for generations, waiting for us to ‘come home’: this is the real parable of the Prodigal Son. The proud and loving father standing ready with open arms to welcome us home.

Inner Peace
This inner connection with divine energy has been described by mystics of all traditions. It brings a sense of escape, freedom, lightness. The feeling of insecurity and lack fades away and we realise that we no longer need to steal from others to fill the void we have imagined within us, to soothe the ache of incompleteness that was part of our delusion until now. We can feel a glow surrounding us, a sort of ‘back in the womb’ experience.

It is a sensation akin to rebirth. We see the world, the people around us, and ourselves with fresh eyes. Our purpose becomes clearer, shifts direction. The motivation of others becomes understandable such that we become more tolerant, can understand their struggle – for have we not wrestled the same demons? Our response becomes a wish to help, to share our revelation in order that they too might enter into this state of reality.

We must realise however, that each of us has our own journey to travel, and each must take their own time to climb the stairway of growth in their own way: sometimes we must contain our excitement and share our revelation at a pace and in a way that our brothers and sisters are ready to accept. Forcing our ideas and opinions on another is an infringement of their free will, and will most likely provoke adverse reaction rather than acceptance. When the student is ready, the teacher shall appear: the student will be guided to find us as his inner conscious searching projects into the consciousness field.

Returning to our metaphor of rebirth, at this stage we are indeed like babies – full of the wonder of this new life and anxious to dispel the mists of delusion for our fellow being humans. We cannot wait to tell everyone about this new truth we have discovered. Whilst our motives are surely sound, we must remember that ‘Truth’ is not an objective thing, it is too precious to describe: it is an intensely personal knowing, a ‘nous’ which resides in the individual heart.

Moreover, in these early days we will often falter and lose the connection, maybe at times of stress. The trigger may be major or trivial – heavy pressure at work or in relationships, or something as silly as an unguarded snap at one of our children or a colleague. We should see these as markers, tests to see how much we have changed, where we are falling short, what we must do to be better. And how do we progress? How do we gain strength? How do we grow? In the same way an athlete improves, by practice, application, and determination. The oak tree grows strong, by withstanding the buffeting of the elements constantly testing its strength.

Seek the Love in the moment. Every single thing that happens to us is for our benefit, so if we trip and stumble, we must have overlooked something and need to look back and see what it was, before we can move up to the next level.  Perseverance is the key: we should be encouraged by every forward step, and there is nothing to be gained by beating ourselves up whenever we falter. Accept the experience, and appreciate the lesson: that in itself is progress.

In this way we begin to understand ourselves in a more subtle way. By comparison with our feeling of connectedness we can recognise when we feel insecure, and are in fact seeking to control others, to draw energy from them instead of from within ourselves. We start to realise our method of stealing energy from others, trying to take from them to heal our own pain, our own lack, and our own shortcoming. We see that we have been manipulating others without thinking – and the first step to overcoming any problem, is recognising the problem. Co-dependency is born of lack of self esteem; we need a crutch to support our own inadequacy. However, this is a false foundation, part of the delusion in which we have frustrated ourselves for too long.

A higher level
So we learn to rely more and more on our connection with our Higher Self, and it becomes second nature to listen, and be guided by the inspiration which comes to us; we start to enjoy what is happening to us. We can see there is a guiding hand, and we know we can place implicit trust in the judgement of this higher power to secure our future. Freed from this concern, we can live in the moment, appreciating all that is taking place around us on a more esoteric level.

Earlier, we saw that by accepting the unity of Spirit, we can transcend fear. When we learn to place implicit trust in our Higher Self, we can also transcend hope. There is no need to wish, and hope, and ‘long for’: our Higher Self is fully aware of the bigger picture, and can be completely relied upon to lead us along the most appropriate path at the most appropriate pace for our growth and salvation.

We are All, One.
People we come into contact with, were sent to us for a reason, and we find the more energy and Love we give to them – whoever they may be – the greater the warmth of the Love which enfolds us.
Remember that everything that happens to us is for our benefit, and that each one we meet is part of the One, just as we ourselves are: often their ‘irksome’ characteristics are presented to us as an opportunity to refine some aspect of our own nature.

When we appreciate that each of our earthly brothers and sisters is in some way a mirror of ourselves – and to ourselves - the relationship becomes clear: giving our Love to ‘them’ is in fact loving ourselves, embracing ourselves, healing our selves.

Mother Teresa said, “Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.”  How wonderful the world would be if we made that plea a reality!

The Secret
And that is the secret. That is how we confound Ra’s ‘possibility’ and replace it with ‘probability’.

It is not necessary to dole out food in a soup kitchen, to join a peace movement, or to face down tanks or bulldozers. These are heroic gestures in times of crisis, but our predominant mental attitude, and how we live our lives from day to day is more important. Nor is it necessary to become evangelists determined to convert the un-knowing ‘heathen’ masses.

Remember the consciousness field which affects and is accessible to us all. Jesus exhorted us to love one another: he did not expect us to convert the whole world single handed.

David Wilcock refers to the ‘Meditation Effect’38 also known as the Maharishi effect, and now the ‘TM-Sidhi program’39. It has been found that a group of people focusing together on positive, loving thoughts has a dramatic effect on violent acts, crime, incidents at Accident and Emergency and the like in the local community.

This has been tested and repeated in varying degrees and situations, many times in diverse locations across the world. Most notable results showed a group of 7000 people meditating together were able to reduce worldwide acts of terrorism, hostility and fatalities by an incredible 72 percent.

To transform the world is no mean task – yet all it takes is an earnest desire for change

Look around you, and see where greed and selfishness have brought us. Look around and see where sloth and indifference and apathy have left us. Is this what you wish for the future?

We can be the change we wish to see in the world – each one of us is a powerful force for that change. How do we change? By changing our mind. How do we inspire six billion people to change? The old adages may be well worn, but are nevertheless true: how do you eat an elephant? – one bite at a time; a journey of a hundred miles begins with one single step. Start by changing yourself.

No matter how insignificant we may feel, each one of us is connected to the most powerful source in the Universe, and the Love  we can disseminate from this most powerful source, which dwells within each and every one of us, is a powerful beacon which is apparent to all ‘who have eyes to see’. Those who are ready will seek out that power from us, become imbued with it and adopt it as their own, duplicating, replicating, and promulgating  the awareness and growth until we have achieved such a critical mass of fine, strong inspiration that polarization of the planet towards harmony becomes irresistible.

Ra will rejoice that we have reclaimed our birthright.
