The Law of Attraction.
According to the International Programs Center, U.S. Bureau of the Census, the total population of the World, is projected as 6,482,285,479 at 03:19 GMT (EST+5) on Dec 01, 2005. In one sense, there is only One of us here; in another we are all unique souls.
Wherever we are each coming from, if we think about it at all, we all must admit that Life is about Growth.
Whatever name we choose for our Creator, we must assume that Its purpose in creating us was to experience fulfillment through our growth. It can express Itself better through us if we have unlimited resources to use to give It expression. It desires us to have everything we want to have so we can succeed and blossom to our fullest extent. Provided our desires are in harmony with natural laws - most notably that all transactions are to the benefit of all involved, and at the expense of none - the fulfilment of our dreams does indeed 'glorify God'.
The provision of this bounty is the domain of the Law of Attraction.
"that which is like unto itself is drawn", " like attracts like" are both accurate definitions, which in practical terms translate into 'that which you focus your attention upon, will be drawn to you'. As a welcome gift to all subscribers to Your Life Manual, we are blessed to offer James Allen's timeless classic whose title comes from Proverbs 23:7 "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he".
Those of a scientific turn of mind have been taught that 'opposites attract' - as in magnetism; yet is the north charged magnet not merely attracting, or focussing upon its "opposite" for completion, for fulfilment? And if we stay with this analogy, we human souls are wonderful attractors of what we need for fulfilment, and just like a powerful magnet, we are active all of the time (some argue not when we are asleep); we do not have to plan, facilitate, go into the logistics of how that which we are focussed upon will come to us, it simply does.
And that is where most of us go wrong. Centuries of accepting only principles which are acceptable to our five primitive senses, and of being brainwashed by our 'betters' that poverty is our lot, riches are sinful, we should be satisfied with pain, subservience, lack and limitation, lead us to fall into traps of habitual thinking, predominant attitude, and sabotage our own freedom to choose, - boldly, extravagantly, lavishly, without limit.
The oil to the wheels of the Law of Attraction is belief. "Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours". "Ask and it will be given to you". It is that simple.
It is imperative that we learn how to receive the attraction into our lives. Some say we must learn to allow the attraction to come into our lives. However, ‘allowing’ implies that you retain control: if I allow you to give me £20, it is because I give permission, I control if, where, when, …. With attraction, we have asked, and we shall receive: it is not for us to control the process in any way.
Fear, doubt, negative thoughts will inevitably delay if not negate the manifestation. If we say " I would love xyz,” whilst a little voice in our heads is thinking, “… but I doubt if I will get it", should we be surprised if nothing arrives? “I couldn't be so lucky"; "Such things are not for us"; - are any of these thoughts ringing bells? Clinging to past. non-productive, beliefs - consciously or unconsciously - will stall the process.
We banish war by becoming peaceful; we dispel darkness with light; we overcome illness by thinking of health and vitality. If we focus or concentrate on what we do not want, that is what has our attention -and where your attention is, so are you. Always focus on the positive.
Life is fun. Life is easy. Just live it, live in the moment. Think big, desire greatly, believe in the impossible, give and never count the cost. Be grateful – gratitutde implies you already have it. Expect and you will receive.
I wish for you all, all you could wish for yourselves.
